T.C. Mosbey was born in Birmingham, Alabama as the youngest of four
into a military family. Moving every few years gave Mosbey a sense of
adventure and increased the width of his young imagination. While
living in Jonesboro, Georgia, Mosbey was diagnosed with Leukemia at the
age of thirteen. For close to three years Mosbey went through difficult
chemotherapy treatments. It was both mentally draining and physically
exhausting, but it was both rewarding and exciting. During this time
writing became something of importance. About five years later, while
living near Jonesboro with his sister, Mary-Stewart, he began to pen
Meander, his first novella. Mosbey moved to California and completed it there.
Mosbey also was a co-publisher and writer for Static,
a small youth newsletter. In early '08 Mosbey
published a compilation of poems and prayer that he has
written over the last ten years called Words.
More recently Elkbar, a children's story about an extraordinary
penguin, is in the process of being ilustrated by Chris Fason who is probably best known
for his work on Hero Happy Hour.
Mosbey has been working on a new novel with the working title
The Relentless Ticking
and, is on-again off-again working on Red Cross Knight
a retelling of Saint George and the dragon. And he is considering
continuing the storyline of Meander.
